Have a vision for ministry?
Some new idea that has potential for you and your church to be Christ in your community? But right now, just no room in the church budget?
The Oklahoma District has a vision.
"To facilitate the growth and health of existing and new local church ministries within the Oklahoma District and to prepare God's people for works of service so that the body of Christ may be built up." (Ephesians 4)
The Oklahoma District wants to provide support, through oversight and guidance, to your church relative to funding new or existing ministries. We want to partner with you to equip/resource new ministries of the church. The creativity, planning and implementation of the new or existing ministry are your responsibility. The MIP is in existence to financially assist and help get that ministry off the ground.
MIP begins with a passion and a vision for empowering the people of the local church. It is not about raising support and then deciding what to do with the resources. It is about ministry that is happening right now, and the opportunity for others to participate.
MIP is an online program designed to connect need-based ministries with financial resources.
MIP seeks to reach the local level, therefore increasing participation in ministry by all members of the local church.
The concept is to allow local churches to receive support where new and established ministries are concerned.
The ultimate goal is to empower creative ministry ideas with financial support, thus aiding the commissioning of local ministers, laity and clergy in the work of the Kingdom.
Through the MIP, the Oklahoma District will be giving one-time grants to help make your vision a reality.
